Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 26, 2026
1. Overview
Selvora ("we", "us", "our") operates the website selvora.online (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit our website and use our entertainment quizzes and readings — including personality quizzes, MBTI-inspired type tests, attachment-style reflections, enneagram explorations, IQ mini-puzzles, aptitude themes, tarot card readings, and zodiac/astrology content. The Service currently does not require user accounts; all content is accessible anonymously. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. The Service is published by YSSOFT (이스소프트) and operated by Kim Yuseong, who acts as the data controller for the purposes of this policy; you can reach us at yuseong2099@gmail.com.
2. Information We Collect
We are committed to collecting as little personal data as possible. Here is what we collect and how:
- Quiz & Test Answers: All quiz scoring runs in your browser. We do not store, transmit, or read your individual answers on our servers. Your responses never leave your device.
- Birthdate Information: For zodiac features you may enter your birth month and day. This input is used only in your browser to determine a zodiac sign and is never stored on our servers or sent to any third party.
- Tarot Card Selections: Tarot readings use a random shuffle in your browser. The cards you pick are not stored on our servers or sent externally.
- User Accounts / Result History: We do not offer user accounts, and no result is ever saved on our servers. When you finish a quiz or pull a daily tarot card, the Service can keep a copy in your "My journey" history, but that history exists only in your browser's localStorage on your own device (see Section 3). We have no way to read it, and it is not linked to any identifier we can associate with you.
- Analytics Data: To know which quizzes and readings people actually enjoy, we lean on Google Analytics 4 (GA4). What it sees is anonymous and lumped together — how many pages were viewed, when a quiz was started or finished, when a share button was tapped, and which category was being explored. The actual words you picked as quiz answers, the tarot cards you turned over, and the birth month and day you typed are not built to flow out to any advertising or analytics company. One caveat: because every result has its own shareable URL, GA4 and any ad network can still see that URL go by during ordinary page-view counting. If you would rather none of this is measured, the Google Analytics opt-out add-on switches it off.
- Automatically Collected Data: Standard technical information (IP address, browser, operating system, referrer, timestamps) may be logged by our hosting provider (Vercel) as part of normal web server operation.
3. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
A few small files (cookies) and similar tools help the quizzes load smoothly and remember small preferences between visits. Here is each one and how to switch it off:
- Google Analytics Cookies: So that one curious visitor is not counted as ten, GA4 drops first-party cookies that tell sessions and unique visitors apart. Prefer not to be in that count? Installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) opts you out across the board.
- Google AdSense Cookies: The ads that keep these quizzes free are served by Google AdSense, which may set cookies and web beacons to tailor what you see based on pages you visited here or elsewhere. To steer or turn off that tailoring, head to Google Ads Settings (https://adssettings.google.com).
- Locale Preference: If you read in English or Korean, a small note in your browser remembers that pick so you are not flipped back to the other language every time you return.
- Locally Stored Data: Your "My journey" page runs on data that stays put on your own device, in your browser's localStorage — the results you have unlocked, your daily tarot pulls, your visit streak, quizzes you favorited, and a zodiac sign if you pinned one. None of it is beamed back to Selvora's servers; it lives only to power your journey and the daily features. Wipe it whenever you like with the "Clear all" button on the My journey page (/history), or by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
4. Advertising
Keeping every quiz and reading free has to be paid for somehow, and here that is Google AdSense — a third-party ad service run by Google LLC. Ad units only appear on pages once a slot ID has been set up; anywhere a slot is left unset, you simply see no ad. Where ads do run, Google may use cookies to shape them around pages you have visited before. You are in control of that: dial it back or switch it off entirely at Google Ads Settings (https://www.google.com/settings/ads) or through the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page (https://www.aboutads.info/choices/). Worth knowing — opting out does not make the ads disappear; they simply become non-personalized. One more thing the entertainment side of this site is built around: the actual text of your quiz answers, your birth date, and your tarot picks are never wired to hand off straight to an advertiser. That said, in the everyday running of any website, our ad and analytics providers can still process access logs, cookies, device details, and page-usage signals — including the URL of whichever result page you happen to be on.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may collect data as described in their respective privacy policies:
- Google Analytics 4 — anonymous website usage analytics (https://policies.google.com/privacy)
- Google AdSense — display advertising (https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads)
- Vercel — website hosting and delivery (https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy)
6. Data Retention
We do not maintain a user database, and there is no account-based result history. Quiz answers, tarot selections, birthdate inputs, and any personally identifiable information are never written to our servers. Locally stored history (Section 3) stays in your browser until you delete it; we hold no copy of it. Google Analytics data is retained according to Google's default retention settings (14 months). Standard hosting logs kept by Vercel follow their own retention policy.
7. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain data protection rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Since we do not collect, store, or process personal data beyond what is described above, there is minimal personal data to exercise these rights against. However, you may:
- Opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the browser add-on mentioned above
- Opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings
- Clear your browser cookies and local storage at any time
- Contact us with any questions or concerns about your data
8. Children's Privacy
Our Service is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this page periodically for any changes.
