How Results Work

Where scoring happens

All scoring for Selvora quizzes runs in your browser. We don't send your answers, birth date inputs, or tarot card picks to our servers. As soon as you select an option, the tally updates locally and the page advances.

How multiple-choice quizzes score

Most Selvora quizzes are archetype quizzes — the goal is to match your pattern of answers to one of a small set of result types. Each answer option carries small weights toward one or more types. When you finish, the weights get totaled and the result with the highest score is what you see.

Why two similar answer sheets can land on different results

Because no single answer maps to just one type. Each question usually spreads its weight across several types, so one unusual pick won't flip your whole result. Two people who match strongly on eight out of ten questions normally end up on the same result; two people who split on the deciding two or three may end up on adjacent types.

IQ-style quizzes

Our IQ quiz is a gamified score quiz, not an archetype quiz. Each question has a right answer that adds points to a total, and the total maps to a result band. Those bands are entertainment categories — not IQ scores in the clinical sense. They don't meaningfully compare to WAIS or Stanford–Binet.

Tarot readings

Tarot readings shuffle the Major Arcana deck in your browser using a standard pseudo-random generator. The cards you see are exactly the cards your click landed on — there's no hidden choice on our side. The interpretations attached to each card are written from traditional upright and reversed meanings, just rephrased into plain reflective language.

Zodiac and astrology features

Our sun-sign features just need a birth month and day to figure out your sun sign using the standard date boundaries of the twelve signs. That calculation runs entirely in your browser — your date isn't stored or forwarded anywhere. The readings tied to each sign draw on traditional associations (element, mode, archetype) and are written as reflective content, not as forecasts.

Retakes and how stable a result is

If you retake a quiz a few hours apart, the result can shift slightly — especially on questions where you sat on the line between two options. That's expected, not a bug. A well-built quiz often tells you more when you notice the cluster of possible results you keep ending up near than when you insist on one "correct" answer.

What our results can't do

The math we just described is honest about its limits. Selvora quiz results:

• Don't diagnose mental health conditions.
• Don't measure IQ in the clinical sense.
• Don't predict the outcome of future events.
• Don't replace a real conversation with a licensed professional.
